I should prefer to display the global announcement in the forum it was originally posted in directly, but a redirect link like nickvergessen shown in the picture is still acceptable, as long as their real forum id can be retained.

My view on subsilver2:
It causes extra work during development, that is not helping phpBB's main goal of becoming a better forum software
It causes extra work for MOD authors to support two very different templates - many don't even bother support both templates

New global announcements mechnisms
At present, the forum ID of the global announcements were forced to zero and their real forum IDs were discarded, this may lead to some embarrassing situations.
