Yeah it struggled back for a few minutes of slow operation, then went again

phpbb.com is sort of up again, but its really slow.

Your browser doesn't know it's the same site, so it won't supply the cookie. It just checks the url.

Seemed to gradually grind to a halt over an hour or so. The whole server is down again.

No, it's still there, maybe they've banned you.

I can come back here now, all the noobs flooding in scared me away.

Check in config.php for the right database.

If you are using mysql you should have this line:

[code:177eed]$dbms = "mysql";[/code:177eed]
