Yes, I think that's the best way to go, particularly while the site is small.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Search Won't Work
I should probably have found that , but it won't help members who think the search isn't working!

Re: Search Won't Work
Ahh - I see. Thanks very much.
I think I might change the wording to make it clear that it means that the word appears a lot on the site. I assumed that by 'common' words it meant 'a', 'the', 'and' etc.

Re: Search Won't Work
OK, now I'm really confused. 'Vicar' works for me too, but 'games', which is on the site 5 times according to Google, and 'Prayer', which is there about 100 times, give me the same result as in the OP. Why? How (and where) are the common words defined?

Re: Search Won't Work
No, whatever I search for the result says that the word is too common or too short or suggests that I haven't entered a word, even when I know the word is on the site either a few times or many times.

Search Won't Work
When I try to search for anything on my phpbb3.0.3 site I get the same response:
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: games.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more ...

Re: Problem backing up software
Believe it or not I had exactly the same problem with FireFTP, but I think I have figured out what was wrong - the permissions on the folders was set to apply only to the folders and not to the contents.
I've no idea how that happened, since I hadn't had problems before. FireFTP wouldn't let me ...

Re: Problem backing up software
The memory stick has 252MB space left, so I don't think it's that.
However, I've just spent over half an hour installing a mod, which hasn't worked, and when I looked at the files that have supposedly been uloaded back to the server via Filezilla, none of them show recent modification dates. When I ...

Problem backing up software
I'm not entirely sure whether this is a problem with my board (phpbb3.0.3) or with filezilla, but hopefully someone here will know...
I've just backed up my software using filezilla, directly onto a memory stick (as I always do). Almost 200 files failed to transfer. Most of these were cache files ...
