Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
After they stop supporting subsilver, the style authors that have subsilver-based styles will have to take up the job of converting the updates/changes done to prosilver. As well as who ever takes over subsilver itself (assuming someone will). Those that have extensively changed subsilver-based ...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
Code reader.. I do not think an automatic mod installer needs to be built in to the core of phpBB.. The Mod Manager they are working on will work just fine.
I would have to disagree with you that anything they add to phpBB can be realized in a mod.. Because the simple fact of the feature being ...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
I have never once asked for a timeline or any time table whatsoever.. I totally agree with Toonarmy in that if you strive towards goals instead of striving toward getting a project done at a certain date, then when something is going to get done can't be known by anyone. But, I would have to ...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
I had forgot that they were being posted..
Update: After spending the night watching all the videos.. There was not much mention of what I described. Plus if it does exist I would think it would curb some of the "When is it coming" questions and the teams need to give a less than kind answer. As I ...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
IMHO, a milestone list would be a great thing to impart a long term vision for phpBB development. It could include what the dev team wants to have accomplished for each milestone to be considered complete. There doesn't need to be any time frame for them to be complete. However long it takes for ...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
Well, in my opinion, its better to say that Milestone 1 hasn't been reached yet so there is not a way of saying when it will be available. Then to be sarcastic.

Re: Profile Features...and some others...
The understanding Ive gotten over the years is that phpBB is not chat software, so it doesn't need a quickreply.

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
I realize and understand the reasoning behind the teams reluctance to say any sort of timetable for the release of 3.0. But, I hope the teams reconsider being as discourteous to the noob that registers and simply asks when 3.2 is going to be out. It is inevitable for there to be a large amount of ...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
Even though I implied that.. That wasnt the point I was trying to make.. My point was that the developers arent at the mercy of the users. Its their job to determine whats best for the project. And in my opinion they do a fine job. If they think a suggested new feature is a good one to add they add ...
