ehhhm ehhm....
no, i am not going to write a 5-liner guide to cvs. just rtfm.
please note, though, that cvs stands for "Concurrent Versions System", and is used with small and large development projects.

And - yes I've already started - if you want to do so, you can - technically - forge the functions you need. But you have to keep them updated manually!

Re: Some bugs I found with 2.1.2
But why? It gives the development team something to fix. :)

Re: Shapshot Updates
The only way to find out is to install the new snapshot. There is no way of telling of any new features for Olympus Snapshots and they are released every hour.
this may be true if you use the snapshot, but if you actually use the cvs, there is a perfect record of what changed when.

just misunderstood you, doesn't matter 2.0.x can have everything here if you're willing to do a lot of MODs
not quite.
specifically, the "approve message mod" (not sure about the name, but it is the mod that makes messages hidden until approved by moderator) which is a feature of v3, was never ...

the more i think about karma system(s), the more i am convinced that such system should not be made a part of the core product, because it is

uchiha, the point is not "volunteers" vs. "programmers", the point is "take" vs. "take effort from".
theoretically, someone can create, say, a wysiwig editor and submit it, it can then be used, but still this "someone" may not join the "team".
