There was a topic on the main board about Mr Green in particular and his origns. So far phpBB 3 has taken some heat from some users about the old smilies, but I think they are staying the same.


IMO, they're the best smilies I've ever seen. Clean, simple, crisp, small, and good looking.

Just click on the profile button under their post, next to the aim, yahoo buttons

I'm pretty sure everyone already knows how to do that. ;)

I'm just suggesting this because I'm used to it from other forum software, and it's easier to see when someone is a guest, because their name won't be a ...

A datum mostly used now as a reference point. see Newlyn Datum, the point where all heights in the UK are measured from.

Also in CNC, datum is often used to refer to some sort of 0 point.

As for GOTO, yes, its still seen in schools, along with line numbers......

Who made the phpBB smilies? Are they made specially for phpBB? I've seen them used with PHP scripts completely unrelated to phpBB, so that's why I'm asking.

It looks stupid, like "alot" instead of "a lot".

And it supposedly means:

"Goto" isn't a word.

Since "goto" isn't a word, topics with multiple pages should say "Go to page:", instead of "Goto page:".
