Re: (compensating for larger folder icons...)

Awesome...I'll have to get home before I can test it in IE6, but it certainly looks sound.

I appreciate the help!

Re: (compensating for larger folder icons...)

You're so awesome it's ridiculous.

The padding is working perfectly now. The height, however, only works in Firefox. I did the stuff in tweaks.css and everything, but it's still not working in IE6 for me. Any ideas why?

(compensating for larger folder icons...)

I asked this question on the regular phpbb.com board, but it just occurred to me, that this may be the better place to ask (Seeing as all the brilliant minds are over here. :) ). I'm trying to start styling a template, but I ran into a problem when I changed the size of the folder icons. I made them...

Re: suggestion to developers: please release beta-6

I would be perfectly happy if people said "to hell with it" and went elsewhere. What do I care what software someone else is using? Good point. Because if tons of people stop using phpBB, and flock to other BB systems, I'm sure the developers will keep updating and supporting phpBB just f...

Re: phpbb ip sniffer programs?

Yeah...it's nothing devious or underhanded. It's just a button that the admin and mods have access to. Your ip is simply logged when you post, but ip logging happens on...like...pretty much every website.

Re: I'm in Awe! Just Floored!

Just so there is no confusion, you can upgrade to phpBB3 from phpBB2 even if you have a lot of mods, as long as the basic database structure has not been altered. This leads me to ask...how would one know if the basic structure has been altered? I know that some of my mods (cash mod for example, I ...

Re: Pruning and member post count (Rank Drop)

Uh... did you forget to read the topic? Actually, yes. This has happened to me a couple of times on this forum (Maybe I'm not used to the small layout changes yet?), but I didn't have time to go back and delete my post this time. See, after I had hit sumbit, I realized that there were a couple extr...

Re: Pruning and member post count (Rank Drop)

In terms of how to fix it: I wouldn't worry about that. After all, Beta 5 isn't to be used in a live environment anyway, so you shouldn't have any problems, right? Who cares if people's ranks drop on your beta testing board?

Wait, you didn't upgrade on your live board...did you? 8O

Re: Need some advice

The only advice is this: DO NOT upgrade to an unsupported beta unless you are a master in PHPBB programming. Hint: If you have to ask if you should upgrade to Beta...then you are not said master. If you do decide to do it, this is the support you can expect in the future when you try to upgrade to R...
