Re: Will phpbb 3.3.9 be html valid ?

Re: phpbb 4

The only significant features that I am aware of in phpBB4 (other than Chameleon) are those that were taken out of phpBB3.3

Re: Is the phpBB4 Chameleon style worth it?

But isn't this all symptomatic of the overall problem? Half phpBB syntax and half Twig syntax - neither one thing or the other! I would have far more confidence if prosilver was to be converted to Twig (as it should have been many versions back)

It may, but most of the changes would be far better handled with Twig

Re: Is the phpBB4 Chameleon style worth it?

AFAIK if someone raises a concern about the development of Chameleon in a Chameleon development topic - it surely can not be classed as off topic. It all depends on one's point of view. To the majority it is not but to a minority any criticism is considered off topic and may be threatened with an o...

As I have said more than once - all eggs in one basket, and no forward planning for the future.

If an established framework was to be used that problem would go away.

Re: Is the Chameleon style worth it?

i would say keeping prosilver for 4.0.0 is essential. I don't think that anyone disagrees with that statement but the issue is that there will need to be some significant changes made to prosilver if it is to be compatible with phpBB4/Chameleon due to the fact that it is a requirement of Chameleon ...

Re: Is the Chameleon style worth it?

The answer to the question "Is it worth it?" is, of course, yes because we do not pay for it therefore we will be eternally grateful for whatever we are given - whenever (if at all) we are given it. It matters not one bit to me as I will not be using it - cannot be bothered re-writing exte...
