The big question for me is... Did the devs actually finish all the code or there are still unfinished parts.
Because looking at the bug tracker i can say it is stable enough.
I mean I remember what happened after the previous beta releases. The news for a beta probably makes it more tested and ...

hmm, I dont see the reason of going to beta3 and after that, rc1 and/or/maybe rc2...
bug is already less, mostly visual ones. I think one more pre-release is already enough, and that should be named rc :mrgreen:
We need beta 3 to test UTF-8...
