What if the questions were definable per site?? And they had to be set during installation maybe??


That was the general idea. Implementing a system like this would be quite effective (probably unbeatable unless someone went to your specific site and found the answers to every possible question ...

Another possibility is to use a question that the user has to answer correctly, instead of visual confirmation.

For example, "What is the colour of an orange?" could be one from a set of questions that is randomly picked and shown to the user upon registration.

Even if this ("new" subSilver) isn't included or supported, it would be cool if it was provided as an optional download.

Personally I'll set up a private test board when the betas come out, so I can start work on integrating everything into my site, skinning, etc. Once I'm happy with all of that, then I'll start thinking about moving my public boards to the new verison.

I'm liking the new dev version of phpBB so far, and I think renaming it 3.0 is a good idea.
