the seperate sections are headed, Phpbb Realted or Everything else. Such separate sections are categories ;)

You should create a forum whose type is category and then nest inside some forum (type = forum) as childs.

IE:

category1
-- forum1
--forum2
----forum3 (parent. forum 2)

category2 ...

I cannot decide if i should mod the code using something like MX-BB to build a framework around the code, use a bridge so i can use joomla with the forum or just find someone to code the desired sections i want onto the code..
All code written for 2.0.x has to be rewritten ... or it won't work ...
