Hello all,
I need to ask something. Is the phpBB development continuing in two seperate branchs for php 4.x and php 5.x , or is the final version the last release for php 4.x ? When the first update comes as phpBB 3.0.1, will that require php 5.x?
Many thanks,

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
I do not want to linger on that subject more, but I also need to say I agree with Malphas.
Quick reply decreases the quality of content on a board, as it enables the user to get into a "quick fire" mode and fire away quick, small nonsense at an alarming rate, but if that is what a board owner wants ...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion
Ah, Quick Reply. Let's face it, you do not like it, I do not like it, but it is one of the features most asked for. My opinion is, instead of continously rejecting repeated requests for Quick Reply and explaining it over and over, the developers could just integrate that feature but make it disabled ...

Re: Suspecting GOLD Very Soon...
I was expecting to see the Gold release, but a release date is just as well. We have a national holiday beginning 20th of December, so that means I'll spend the holiday customising the Gold release for my needs and upgrading my board.
Congrats to the developers...

Re: Suspecting GOLD Very Soon...
I think I'm being grossly misunderstood. I have no grudge with anyone, I do not remember having an argument with Paul. What I was telling was about the general negative energy being created by the tense, harsh answers at that time. So if everyone choose to already forget about that and move forward ...

Re: Suspecting GOLD Very Soon...
Karl, now you are pulling us into the same vicious circle. The developers and we the users are in a mutual relationship. We both exists because of the other. If you get this thing into the usual "shut up, you are not paying for it" argument, that is very ugly. The fact that we are not paying for the ...

Re: Suspecting GOLD Very Soon...
Paul is back? Welcome, but I really hope he is back without his regular attitude. I know he was under a lot of pressure and stress, but his constant harsh replies were not helping the phpBB project, during the time near his departure. People tend to ask stupid questions, but getting slapped like a ...

Damn, I was so near that place on that day. If I had known the meeting, I'd drop by to buy a round of beer for the guys.

I agree and I hope they will add such a feature to the next version.
