Re: MODs for 2.2?

Yes there are a few people out there who have been MODding 2.1.x CVS builds of phpBB, but in practice, I would not recommend doing it yourself until the first Beta release comes out.
yes, and some people just have nothing better to do :P
As we are recoding the CVS to make it work the way we want ...

Re: Database size

From what I have seen...

much more tables and a lot more records in those tables too, that would suspect a significant increase in size. But that is only an increase to set parameters and permissions.

Some new options (like holding PM's until there is space) could also increase size. But most of ...

Re: Will there be user-agent allowance.

Showing a user-agent would only require to ad one line of code somewhere and a placeholder in a template page... but it really passes me by why there would be any use of that.. simply because of the fact that you can change what is reported into whatever you want it to be

Re: Daylight Saving Time (DST) within one country

What I don't get is... why it actually IS a feature. Because it makes no difference with changing timezone like I do in 2.0 It just add's an hour to everything.

that is just plain wrong. Do it right or don't do it at all. Ofcourse, this is still CVS so maybe.. keeps fingers crossed..

Re: Daylight Saving Time (DST) within one country

yes, it is a good way to use the diff TZ's
and although I agree totally, it still depends

on my site, country is an important factor, so I already have that dbase and that would be a perfect startpoint for me, since the users has already selected their country. It makes the update to properly use ...

Re: Tehehe, private messages

yes, of course. Do you think "we" want users PM the Registered Users Group? ;)

And no, at the moment this setting is global and not ...

Re: Daylight Saving Time (DST) within one country

I dunno.. in the past several countries in Europe decided to not use DST and others did.. and then changed their mind.. all of them in the same TZ (!!) think of Norway, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain.. etc I think it is settled now, but one never knows :( maybe one day a stupid *beep* thinks it ...
