Re: difference between area51 and CVS
I never said i didn't know how to fix it. I just said that if the CVS is not ment to be stable and they have at least some partially working features on this board that aren't in the CVS, why not put them in the CVS? As far as I understand, the CVS is ment to be a constantly updated set of code that ...

Re: difference between area51 and CVS
true. I just thought that they would at least put in the KNOWN stuff that works from the dev board into the CVS. For example the syntax error on line 198 of viewtopic.php has been there for a long amount of time and no one has taken the time to update the CVS release.

ya you can, but lets say you already had attatchments on your 2.0.x board. Then it will just replace the interface and move the files rather than wiping it clean.
And as far as the mods go, most of them should be able to be converted. Either by the modder or by you if you have enough knowledge in ...

Re: Never understood <BR />
indeed. Thats especially dangerous in PHP, with the whole URL variable insertion thing. You know if you don't set the variable to something, then you can just do something like "http://somedomain.com/file.php?var=forced" and it will set the variable to what you told it to set.

Re: difference between area51 and CVS
they should still let us download the dev board source, even if its seperate from the CVS. That way we can see how to fix our source and they don't have to worry about stupid support questions.
