If you include it, that technically implies it's supported, does it not? Why would we include something in your package (in a release for that matter), but refuse support on it? You either ship it and support it, or drop it and don't. Simple

To be honest, and this is my own personal opinion, I think we should stop development of subSilver 2. I understand that a lot of people use it and styles based on it, but I think it's time to lay it to rest. I don't actually support it in anything I do - I find prosilver a lot easier and cleaner to ...

Yes, you will need to purge your cache before the changes will take effect. There is a button on th main page of the ACP that will allow you to do that. For future reference, support questions should be posted on phpBB.com support forums and not here ;)
