Was discussed before, I would point you to our fine search system , but that is currently disabled. So just trust us when we are saying, that we do not think that a quick reply belongs into a forum software. We have our reasons.

Re: Is the upgrade script only going to work on 2.0.11
It is PROBABLY (read what I say once more, PROBABLY, not SURE ;)) possible to upgrade from versions as early as phpBB 2.0.4 (or was it 2.0.6), since there hasn't been any database-changes later... But, once more, I don't know. I just guess
No Db cghanges since 2.0.6 is corect, and I just ...

Re: Acyd's Antics, an inconsistency in the code
Pardon but there are no 'people', 99% of the time, a USER will be installing this on a hosted solution. Will the host say "Well, since you can't reap the benefits of such and such a function, I will upgrade the DB, which has other customer's data creating downtime and a chance of failure." In ...

Re: Scalability ?
No we can't provide a comparison at this time.
This hardware is of a reasonable spec, but at the same time, area51 is currently hosted on a machine that is also the DB server for one of the larger phpBB boards out there so is under a fair bit of load already.
And still I cant notice it being ...

Re: Scalability ?
Hello to everyone!
Its interesting to see the Olympus project get ready for the first beta. A couple of days ago I noticed that the forum had over 500 people online. I was thinking about the kind of hardware needed to sustain the kind of traffic I saw.
Can the mods here provide an insight into ...

Re: When will Olympus release ?
Well, I expect it to be before those hackers get into the current PHPBB and hack it to death like in Texas Chainsaw Massacure, but for now I would assume that the PHPBB team is doing everything in it's power to keep this board free for all, even if that means some delays. I mean, that's what ...
