Re: Documenting the phpBB2.1 code
Paul, Graham, et al - just so you know, I plan on translating lemontea's documentation into Klingon. I don't know any of the Klingon language yet, but figured that it would be a great way of learning it. ;)
Anyway, I would become an occasional poster on his wiki if it was for 2.0 ...

Re: Documenting the phpBB2.1 code
Anyway, so is the idea of doing this for the 2.0.x version accepted or will you still continue doing this for the 2.1 version ?
If you're planning to do this for the 2.0.x version I'll check it out, but I honestly think it's a complete waste of time doing this for 2.1

Re: Documenting the phpBB2.1 code
I find it a great idea, but maybe it's more advisable starting to develop this code documentation for the 2.0.X version ?
When the 3.0 beta (or 2.1 beta, don't know what name the beta will get ;)) is released, you could start making a documentation for it.
I believe 2.1 still has some months of ...

That should give you an idea of what still has to be done.
If you look at the CVS-version, you should be able to estimate the remaining work.

Re: Read here for release date.
It could work if the mods made a topic named 'RELEASE DATE' and made it as a sticky.

PHP Sessions ?
Why have the devs created their own sessions-script ?
Why didn't they just use the 'built-in' session-method of php ?
I know the devs are using their own script since the first version of phpbb, I was just asking why

Re: Thanks for Beta Info Update!
Hmm ... never thought I was seen as one of the many 'Mr-Know-Alls'.
Anyway, there are only two rules:
1. The devs/admins are always right
2. If they are not, read rule number 1

Re: Thanks for Beta Info Update!
Ofcourse there will always be those negative reactions.
But what did you expect ?
It's perfectly normal to see some reactions about the announcement, as it delays the release even more.
Like I said before ... take those questions about 'when is it going to be released' as a compliment.
