Yes, IE7b2 has been showing a few surprises. I've been updating my various sites and projects these past couple of days to fix them - needless to say (apart from a few beta quirks) the ACP looks fine again.

It makes perfect sense why Tom is changing the existing subSilver. He's trying to make it more compatible with phpbb3's source and the new "secret" style. Logically, if you have two (or more) styles, they are bound to work on the same set of HTML elements/tags. So they're not that much different ...

Don't worry. The new style has been under development for over a year and a half (on and off), during which time it has been tested by around 20 of the dev team.
