Re: phpbb 4

No matter what, I doubt the jump from phpBB3 to phpBB4 will bring as many extensive changes as the jump from phpBB2 to phpBB3 did, and I doubt anything can really change that.

Re: Is the phpBB4 Chameleon style worth it?

AFAIK if someone raises a concern about the development of Chameleon in a Chameleon development topic - it surely can not be classed as off topic. It all depends on one's point of view. To the majority it is not but to a minority any criticism is considered off topic and may be threatened with an o...

Re: phpbb 4

Well, I do not like it. At all! :x Why? Surely just the ability to update from within the ACP is an advantage? Considering the fact that they're the admin of phpBB3refugees (not saying it's a bad thing, rather I'm just making a neutral observation), I doubt they're fond of the later versions of php...

Probably won't be any better when Chameleon is released. The Dev version of phpBB4 that this site is running is fine though, IMO.

I'm kind of surprised this topic didn't disappear into oblivion.

Did they say that your comments were "off-topic?"

Re: Is the Chameleon style worth it?

I was told it would result in changes that are problematic to current extensions, and if true, that is not something I would want. I'm not trying to be "harsh," but rather realistic. Chameleon is just a style so I would imagine that if extensions won't work it will be phpBB4 that is the i...
