Re: WHY do people ask about phpBB3 so much?
Acyd, as one whose contribution to phpBB has been less than insignificant I cant tell you how much I appreciate your post above. I too have always felt that every supporter of phpBB contributes in some small part to its success. Even such a small part multiplied so many millions of times has some ...

Re: phpbb3 mods
I keep seeing people post that they are not really concerned about security because of whatever reasons they might have and it bothers me because it seems they are not aware that they are not only endangering their own site but possibly every other site hosted on the sever they are on. Unless they ...

Re: Beta or something
Not wanting to do the math I will just use stelminators 73 million second for the timeframe and his 8 second per line at one pecent of their time.
Now if we consider the 1.5 devs working on this we are up to abot 110 million available seconds during this period. At eight lines a second phpBB 3.0 ...

Re: Release date?
The frustration is apparent in almost all supports/users of phpBB. Some finally break and just come out and ask the question that must not be asked and others sit and troll the other end of the spectrum by continuing to bombast those that broke ranks.

Re: Olympus
I like the Olympus (finally fuzzy enough to go outside on its own version) naming system. I have no need in numbers when there is such an excellent naming convention available.

Just remember there is no support and bug reports aren't accepted at this time.
That post is just shy of three months old and as far as I can tell has not been updated (no last edited ect).
I would hope some ground has been ...

Re: Can't wait!
Ahha... so you are claiming drunk but I suspect the latter. If these three or four people who put this together were making 50k a month they would be making it thier full time job.
Kudos once again to the devs for such a fine coding masterpiece and my apologies to any of them who might read this ...

Re: Can't wait!
Are you people drunk or stupid... how many of you have google ads? I have served millions of them and have been paid a couple hundred dollars. This doesnt even cover bandwidth, scale it up and all you do is lose more money. The phpBB group is fortunate to have supporters that donate hosting but even ...

Re: Progress Bar
Reading these posts made me think about this very forum we are now posting in. I can well imagine that this forum has had it's share of attacks already with people trying to find ways in which the developers have to seal up along the way... who knows how long it is going to take to get down the road ...

Doesnt matter if goto is a real word or not only that it makes you know that by clicking on it you will go to some other place where the originator of this thread should have been before posting here I would think.
