The annoying issue with Microsoft is that with each release they somehow keep forgetting to support transparent PNGs which is a pain in the ass to us using Gimp since we can only create PNGs.
You can get an extension for gimp that will allow you to save images as .gif, it's under "non-free", and ...

phpBB is like Firefox: small, lightweight, flexible and fast.

Nonononono... what I meant is that:
1) I'm guessing this is true, but only php is supported, right?
2) (and this is not really related) I'm making a mod to highlight any language. It's for phpBB 2.0.X at the moment, does anyone think it sounds interesting? If so, I'll also look into beginning work ...
