I am currently installing the newest EasyMOD Beta, and it does not seem to have the option to use local copying of files instead of FTP. Has this option been disabled, or am I missing something important? Thanks in advance!

Re: new users cant registar!
They may still be in alpha stages, but a lot of the stuff from it that i've seen on by testbed phpBB2.2 forum is beta or even production in stability.

Re: Enhanced Group Settings
It's implemented, but it's not well rounded, of course. I'm also concerned with the way the default permissions are set (no one can do anything), but thats going to change. Aaah, but there are so many options! More options == <3

Re: WYSIWYG message board?
If I were the mod coder, I'd use their JS that allows you to select users to insert it, and spawning the WYSIWIG editor wouldn't be THAT hard either, or so I presume. So it's got MOD potential.

Re: Karma Level
In the Karma prefs of the boards, there are a bunch of categories. Are these actual weights (as in, oldposts*5 if the oldposts field is 5), or is it oldposts*.05 like a percent? I think the second is more intuitive, but the first seems to be the way it is laid out in the prefs.

Re: better word censors?
I think i've done one word censor in my experience, and it just encouraged people to use the word and try to figure out other ways to get around it. Needless to say, I learned. The thing I think word censors should do, is get the posts dropped into a list that mods/admins see in the main indexes, so ...

Re: Whats up with the roadmap?
Hey all you who are nice and comfy with your lame other boards, get ready to come crying back to us!
Have a nice day.
Keep up the good work. From what I've seen of the CVS versions, this is going to be an incredible release. I'm more and more willing to wait for it the more I see.

Re: What still before M4
Here's a tip: To help pass the time before releases, check out the CVS repository, get a snapshot, or whatever you want to do, but find bugs and see if you can guess which will be fixed first. It's also amusing to try to guess what things will be come buggy. After awhile, you begin to see what ...

Re: error with cvs snapshot?
If you are getting errors about missing columns, then you might want to verify the schemas/schema_data.sql against schemas/mysql_schema.sql (or your appropriate). I had to edit the latter to have it create a few new columns (for the topic watch and unwatch buttons under styles imagesets).
