Re: Being tired of waiting and waiting

You don't actually gain anything by waiting for an upgrade on a piece of software. It's not like you get a medal for it.

If you don't want to wait for features then just use something else that has those features. It doesn't make a difference to anyone.

You can make changes to other board software ...

Re: WHY do people ask about phpBB3 so much?

Why do people complain about the people who ask about phpBB3 so much?

Seriously, I think the number of posts of people complaining, flaming and being downright condescending to those that ask about when phpBB3 will be released far outweigh the number of posts where people are asking about it.

It ...

It should be a mod.

I didn't like the reputation game in high school and I wouldn't like it now.

Re: Pepsi vs Coke

I'll be the odd one out on this...actually I'm always the odd one out on this. I think Coke tastes absolutely vile. It tastes bitter to me...bitter like Nyquil. Diet Coke is slightly more palatable in transit but then there's that delayed artificial sweetner aftertaste. If it's gotta be cola, then ...

Re: Close area51 discussion board and work full time on 3.0.

Sure...they could close the development board...but then...where would they test the code that's been written? hmm? Maybe their time would be better spent using a private development board where'd they'd have to make a bunch of test user accounts and come up with a crap load of test data.

Re: For Olympus! -livejournal

Well....linear and abstract thinkers aren't going to agree on much. AFAIK a bulletin board is something people post messages to allowing others to read them. I mean, that's the big picture. The PMs, the smilies, ordering, text formatting, etc. (even registration) are just details and are optional ...

Re: For Olympus! -livejournal

 You think if you change the text on the button from "Post Reply" to "Post Comment" and change "Topic" to "Article" it becomes a different animal? All it is is a different template. I've used phpBB as a blog. Set the permissions such that only bloggers can post new topics and everyone else can ...

Are we playing the pounce on the newbie for asking a simple question game?

Crikey. One question only needs one answer.

Okay, beat me up now. :P
