Well, you probably only changed OWNER read-only flag. You have to change THREE perms :
"owner", "group" and "others".

I also see .tar, .Z, .gz

but no .tgz which is a common contraction of .tar.gz (and .tar.Z ?)

What about .tex ? (LaTeX) I do not think many forums would use that, but anyway...

phpBB3.2 should contain "Events", which could be used to automagically ban the user when posting things matching a specific set of criteria...

Hard to say. Going by the bug tracker alone i doubt it. Plus i havent seen the Acid Burns guy who seems to be taken most of the bugs lately. One reason i wish the bugs were more evenly distributed IF possible.
