Strange.
I just read this and tested this on a 3.3.12 testing board (permissions set as in the printscreen - permission mask was correct), updated to 3.3.13 RC1 and checked permissions: all OK, permissions trace also all OK.


Did you try this with a normal user, an newly registered or an admin ...

Update 3.3.12 -> 3.3.13-RC1 without problems on my test board.

An anomaly since phpBB 3.3.12:

ACP - Permissions - Permission Masks: View user-based permissions
Select a user with permission allowed for any setting, for example "Can change password" and click "View permissions" - than click ...

Update 3.3.9 to 3.3.10-RC1 went good, no problems as far as I can see. Used "changed files" package

I did 2 tries to update my test board 3.3.8 -> 3.3.9-RC1 (PHP 7.3). One with changed files, than with full package. Both ended with errors causing by 2 extensions - e.g. Board3 Portal

In past it was FF, but now all development is Chrome oriented, and Firefox is crap now. And so I use Chrome now generally. But of course Opera, Firefox and Edge are installed, too. May be I need them for test something...

I'm sure the developers know what features they are developing. :D

We will find out which of these make it into the finished software when it is published. In the meantime you could research by reading this board. ;-)

Try to add this line into the .htaccess file located in your phpBB root Folder:

Options -MultiViews


Seems to help - the broken image is gone, thank you.

Update with my testforum went good (3.2.8 to 3.3.0-b2, all extensions deactivated, language en only, prosilver only, PHP 7.1)
