"Test connection" button for installer
I think it would be useful to have a "test connection" button at the database settings page during the installation.
PrestaShop (not a forum software I know) has such a button and it feels good to know that you can safely proceed to the next step.

Re: "Ghost users" - not displayed in the who is online list
Does anyone know where exactly the "who is online" users are accounted for?
The viewtopic.php is chaotic so I thought I'd try my luck with a smaller chunk of code first...

Does anyone know where I would have to look in the code if I want to try to fix it?

Re: Child themes and child extensions
Then is there some guide for creating extension addons? (And if there isn't one, how about making one?)

Child themes and child extensions
Can we override templates in a child theme or just the CSS?
Also, is there some kind of extension inheritance?
For example, can I create a new extension from an existing extension (that will be normally updated) and then override some of its template files?

Yes please, can you remove that directory??Louis7777 wrote: Fri Dec 04, 2015 9:24 am Why not do it for 3.2? CSS transform works even for IE9 with an -ms- prefix.

Re: Disable ServerSignature
The default is off so if this option is on it's on purpose.
That's the problem. On many webhosts that I've used it wasn't off by default, so I had to turn it off myself using the code above. Without it the server would display info such as "Apache/2 Server at domain.com Port 80".
It doesn't hurt ...
