Re: Resize avatars and/or images on the client and server side
All it has to do is resize a very small image to a particular set size Some illiterate users can upload their photos, weighing a few megabytes. Fair point. I'd be inclined to ask though how other forum solutions do it because there are systems in place on other boards? Correct me if I'm wrong, but ...

Re: Resize avatars and/or images on the client and server side
How would there be a high load on the server? All it has to do is resize a very small image to a particular set size and it only has to do that if someone uploads an image and it's larger than what's set. In theory, it should only be an issue if people were changing their avatars constantly.

Re: Show all posts on 1 page button
I don't know... functionality like this should be at the core I think. The whole point of a bulletin board is to organise posts and 'topics.' Giving both the users and its administration control with that can be a good thing.PayBas wrote:Sounds like the perfect example for an extension.

Re: Prosilver redesign
Perhaps this color? (Sorry, I´m no designer) alternative orange icon.jpg eh, I think you've just made it worse. In a way I think it's fine the way it is. To be fair though, the button is easily missed so I think it could be improved by making it clear what it is (and maybe moving it to the right ha...

Re: Show all posts on 1 page button
YES . I think it would be brilliant adding an 'show all' button somewhere on the thread because sometimes people (like me) want to see everything in one long page. Not everyone's taste but will only normally be activated upon user click anyway. An admin should have a checkbox saying 'allow people t...

Re: Prosilver redesign
The popup says 'view first unread post.' It doesn't exist if there's no unread posts in that particular topic. I'm not 100% sure what he was referring to though (I'm guessing the little orange icon paper thing)?hanakin wrote:its not unread its targeted at the latests post.

Re: Quick Links
As far as the 'your posts' are concerned, I always find myself clicking on my username and expecting it there on this webiste, I keep forgetting it's under 'quick links.' Maybe it would be better off there?? not really a justification, its been what a week? For cosmetic changes, what justifications...

Re: LIKE posts feature added in phpBB 3.1
In the meantime, there's a mod that I've implemented on my own forums; Like Mod. It provides users a means of adding a like, but it doesn't for removing them. This could be a good thing for the notifications as well for the 3.1 release, and also the total amount of 'likes' can be summed up in the us...

Re: LIKE posts feature added in phpBB 3.1
Like only systems are a little jarring at first I've found, especially on forums that only point one way (positive). The upside is there's no enforced negativity of posts going into the negative, but the downer is unpopular posts don't get neg-repped and just left at '0' with the odd person in favou...
