Besides what the others have said, this site is for the "bleeding edge" of phpBB , not the bleeding edge of Web development in general. The phpBB developers want phpBB to be supported by a majority of Web hosts (that's why they don't require the bleeding edge of MySQL or PHP, for example) and users ...

This forum is for testing deployment of the latest code in the phpBB repository, not to test things outside of it.
