Re: Change "0 new messages" display in header
I like it but isn't this a different suggestion deserving an own thread. I'm all +1 to optimize the wording since some terms aren't really end-user friendly but if we put everything into one thread there's a hardly a chance to keep track of everything. My initial request was changing the notificatio...

Re: Change "0 new messages" display in header
https://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=42829 Is this the notification feature? I haven't digged through the entire threat yet but I assume it's about a little notification box that will appear for some seconds. From my own experience I can tell that these kind of notifications are b...

Re: Change "0 new messages" display in header
The code does indeed display the pm like you guys can see in the first post. SInce I'm not a coder I can't tell if my trial&error solution is the most efficient way performance-wise. Still I don't see a problem to question the current behaviour, even if it's a running and established solution si...

Re: Change "0 new messages" display in header
@ Mess: Here's my current solution I'm using for my overall_header template (no changes in other files needed) : <!-- IF S_DISPLAY_PM and (S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG) --><a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}">{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO} •</a><!-- ELSE --><a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}">{L_PRIVATE_MESSA...

Re: Change "0 new messages" display in header
it's rather some kind of a snippet^^ Since I did it on my board I can get you the code I've used (when I'm back at home) but since I'm not good with code it might not be the best/efficient attempt.

Re: Change "0 new messages" display in header
Phone is a bad example. My computer permanently tells me that I have zero emails and zero texts. Mine (windows 7 os) doesn't - can't ever recall seeing a computer behaving this way tbh. Even within outlook I only see a "(x)" value notification next to a folder name if there a new/unread m...

Change "0 new messages" display in header
I think it's a bit oldschool and geeky displaying any literally "zero value" informations to end users - I don't know any other nowadays communication tech (smartphone etc.) that inform the cell owner about zero text messages with a permanent display (just an example). That's why I like to...

Re: Add count/number of undealt moderative queue to MCP link
Yeah I have my forum running as a clone via localhost for testing/messing around so that's no problem - still this feature smells like common sense

Re: Add count/number of undealt moderative queue to MCP link
Yeah that's basicly what I'm looking for. This mod seem to work but doesn't appear maintained/validated for the recent phpBB version.
Still I think it'll be great and useful to have such kind of feature "on board" by default

Re: [RFC] Replace image buttons with css
thx - it just crossed my mind while I was writing my reply, that's why I said "btw". I would have taken more time for investigating before starting a new thread about this.
