This topic is a bit old... but I agree on the proposal about cleaning up CSS from duplicated color attributes.

Good idea, I agree on that.

I agree... I don't think there are so many users mixing up styles components to get new styles.

Also I think there is no "professional" reason to have hundreds of style installed on a board (unless is for test/demo purpose), so that feature shouldn't be so useful anyway.

I think is a good idea to remove imagesets folders and move those images to CSS instead of IMG tags, I can't find now any extra good reasons apart of those already listed in the previous posts.

The only issue is that old styles would not be easily/quickly upgraded to phpBB 3.1 (as naderman suggests ...

since it is not properly a bug... I would like just to bring to attention that in this file:

styles/subsilver2/template/ucp_pm_history.html

it is used an hardcoded color to style a cell background:
<td width="100%"<!-- IF history_row.S_CURRENT_MSG --> style="background-color:lightblue ...

I think that all these new commands are very powerful, in particular Conditional Structures that will simplify designer's life.
