Is PHPBB support searching numbers- such as version numbers?

Post by UziG » Thu Feb 05, 2009 8:47 am

Hi,
Is PHPBB support seraching numbers - such as "version numbers" in the forums?
I am managing versions numbers for my product in PHPBB forums,
If I am trying to search version number in the forums, e.g. "12.4.0.10", I an getting the next message:

Information
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: 12 4 10.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

Why it's changed from 12.4.0.10 to --> 12 4 10 ?,
Is there any way to avoid from this string transformation :-| ?
Any suggesting to solve this ?

Tnx,
UziG

The phpBB search is by words, and version numbers are not words.
If want to search for a version number, try using Google.
