Oh my god. phpBB 1.0.0 sucks. 2.x.x is much much better.

Well of course 2.x.x is better, and it's nice that people notice the improvements the developers have worked so hard to build into phpBB.

While 1.x.x had its shortcomings, I never thought that it sucked. It did the job pretty good. Naturally, many of us who use 2.x.x were happy 1.x.x users to start with. :)

I wish I had had a forum running some of the 1.x line - I've never managed to experiance a major version switch + the associated new features with phpBB yet :D

PhpBB - a forum that's free! Classic!

I remember first installing it ages ago, it took me and a friend forever to notice the "new topic" button at the top :lol: PhpBB 2 is excellent compared to it, actually... it's excellent full stop!
