Why shouldn't be default $_SERVER['HTPP_USER_AGENT'] field in php_posts? Like in http://forum.php.pl" target="_blank for example. I know that it's very simple thing but there won't be nessesarity to do it by yourself each time you want it. Maybe it should be on/off.

Re: User-agent
i like that idea a lot
Re: User-agent
And the point of storing the user agent string for each post would be what exactly?
I can spoof my user agent if I really wanted to, so it doesn't actually tell you anything.

Re: User-agent
The useragent can be checked through sessions otherwise there's no real need to put checks elsewhere.
Re: User-agent
I know that user agent can be set as you like. But it gives some nice info about forum users

Re: User-agent
... But there is no use in taking it apart from statistics so you can go "oooo! look! XXX uses XXX"
I use Opera... but i dont see how other people can care or how it should affect my experience at a forum.

Re: User-agent
It was just an idea. Whatever everyone likes. In my (rival ;) forum there's such a field in DB. Because I like something... like this :) that's all :)
