phpBB plus 1.3 is a premodded german (? not sure btw) version of phpBB 2.0.6. I believe so, as it remains a basic phpBB with a lot of mods, but not moving the admin part as does ie phpBBnuke.

Yes, it is a german modded version of 2.0.6; and yes, Easy Mod will work with it

Anyone have any idea why a link to this topic is showing up on the main forum page?

(As I'm writing this, I'm thinking someone moved it from the front and left a shadow topic, as the post count is different on the front than the actual topic.... I guess we're missing a lang somewhere or something...)

Yes, it works for me. But need to amend the files.
Edit all the files, search "subSilver" replace with "fisubsilversh".

After doing what lwclan said, it should work as well as it does with vanilla phpBB.
