[verified] Uninstalling EM

Post by jadedchron »

I've seen everything but information on uninstalling. I have about 8-10 windows open in IE just trying to install a flash mod, and I've bounced through about 143000 threads just to find the newest version of EM. My question is how to uninstall EasyMod? Obviously, just deleting it does not work. Thanks,
nick

WTF? I don't see how that makes any sense. Nor do I see how "just deleting it" would cause any problems. It's probably your ignorance that is causing anyting to go wrong and has nothing to do with EasyMOD.

Obviously, you are a lil slow so I'll type it out nice and easy for you.
I've seen everything but information on uninstalling.
There is plenty of information on installing EasyMod but I have not seen information on uninstalling it.
I have about 8-10 windows open in IE just trying to install a flash mod,
I've been trying to install the flash mod, from which I read, will work with EM. However, finding information on specifics is lacking.
and I've bounced through about 143000 threads just to find the newest version of EM.
Searching through phpbb.com you will find countless posts of redirecting and more redirecting until finally ending up here. Why not just make a single page website that has the EM on it?
Obviously, just deleting it does not work
Deleting the folder does not remove EM from administration panel.

If you're not going to help then crawl back to your corner and stfu. Thanks.

Delete your admin_easymod.php and your admin_eaysmod_functions.php and anything starting with mod_ in your templates/*/admin folder. Then delete the phpbb_easymod table and anything starting with EM_ in the phpbb_config table.

I too want to uninstall easymod, and I did everything except
Then delete the phpbb_easymod table and anything starting with EM_ in the phpbb_config table.
that. Can you explain that a little clearer for a n00b?

Thanks. :)

I somehow f**ked up my installation. Is there some step-by-step howto uninstall it? I tried updating, but unfortunately I run the latest version :(

Hello,
Baer: You want a step-by-step tutorial?

Flautist: I think this SQL query will work:

Code: Select all

DELETE FROM phpbb_config WHERE em IN config_name;
but I'm not sure how far I'd trust me on that.

Looks good to me. But I'm just a simple unix admin who lacks basic knowledge of SQL, but basically I know, what I do in Unix/Linux.

Your fragment seems to delete every "word" with 'em' in it from config_name... ?
