it should look minimal, standardized & clean as its a base to theme from but still be solid and functional while holding its own

Some posters talked about change to Bootstrap, I would give them notice that Bootstrap is not RTL compatible and if it used we must patch it or use another tools to support RTL

bootstrap will not be used for the theme for several reasons, but thanks for pointing that out. To be far its compatible its just not supported by default.

We can use Google materialize design instead of bootstrap which provide minimal design for websites.
