MOD to Extension convertor

is it possible some one create a tools to convert MODs to Extensions ?

give it a MOD as a zip file to it and export a Extension ?

I think what you're probably asking about is converting the MODX file to the JSON file that identifies the extension and a converter for this is simply not useful. All that the json file contains is information about the extension so you could easily enter that yourself and you should. We might develop a simple tool to generate the json file after you fill in some fields but that idea hasn't been taken up yet.
