Show all posts on 1 page button

SMF has this for a while and it works quite efficient. What do you think to implement a button to show ALL posts on 1 page. Plus add a button to increase posts per page. I think modern servers can handle it now.

YES. I think it would be brilliant adding an 'show all' button somewhere on the thread because sometimes people (like me) want to see everything in one long page. Not everyone's taste but will only normally be activated upon user click anyway. An admin should have a checkbox saying 'allow people to request 'all in one' post page so he can turn it off if he's worried about server usage.

It would be nice to have a decreased 'posts per page' thing as well that some forums have, so that you can choose between displaying 5, 10, 20 and say 50 posts on that page. Admins get the choice now of having a set limit which is 10 by default, but it would be nice to change it as well in your own UCP, and the admin could have a choice of the levels he'll allow users to do this by.

Sounds like the perfect example for an extension.

NO I don't like infinite scrolling too, I mean just a static button to show all posts on 1 page. SMF has a good implementation of this function. But I would also like to see a additional function (simple dropdown menu) to change the max number of posts per page, like 50 (default), 100, or 250. Or manual input? This gives the user more flexibility. No AJAX or infinite scrolling! :D

I don't know... functionality like this should be at the core I think. The whole point of a bulletin board is to organise posts and 'topics.' Giving both the users and its administration control with that can be a good thing.
