No, it will break down nice layout build strictly by text. Just like you have shown in the image.

Bad idea.... you could at least resize it to have the same size as the icon_topic_latest.gif image.
Or you could just show it on hover.... Those are just ideas if you want to implement it as a mod.. it is still silly

+1 for creating template var and +1 for adding a template hook right before the text in the column, so one can simply write an extension for it
