Topic created in the translators forum on phpBB.com:
bantu wrote:Hey all,

we are about to release phpBB 3.0.11-RC1. You can find the language changes in MOD format as well as in diff format below. Please update your packages so you can turn them in right after the final 3.0.11 release.

Please do not submit your packages into our Customisation Database right now, only packages for final releases should be submitted to the Customisation Database. As always, you will be notified when submissions are open.

The public release preparation topic for 3.0.11 can be found on area51 at viewtopic.php?f=3&t=42837

I'm not sure on which information you've based that rc2(/or the final for what it is worth) is delayed. Some rc cycles take longer then others.
There are still open tickets marked for rc2 of which one blocker, so don't expect a release until at least the blocker has been resolved.

It was premature to launch the RC1 knowing that they had many errors.

Many errors? When RC1 was released, there was only one ticket waiting for the final version and that was the logo ticket since it could be delayed without needing to be tested. One regression has been found and a few other important issues were found that we wanted fixed before releasing 3.0.11. It most certainly was not released with "known errors" in it.

Sure, but backwards pages listed other errors.

for example: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=42999 There are some errors when the code change, I imagine that the new RC2 everything will be different.

Sure, but backwards pages listed other errors.
And that is why these are Release Candidates, it is expected that there are issues in those.

You realise that the posts made in the topic you linked to were made after RC1 has been released? This is kind of obvious because the first post (and the topic itself) is about the release of RC1.

As such saying

does not make sense any to me.

And yes, there will probably be an RC2 release.

Will the 3.0.11 final release support 5.2.17 ?
My host doesnt seem to upgrade it too soon.

Does 3.1 have an aproximate date on when it will be released... a year... two.. more?
Will we be able to upgrade a 3.0.x style to 3.1.x ? Will 3.1 look like area51, or there will be great style changes.. or thats just for 4.0  Can we upgrade a 3.0/3.1 style to 4.0 ?
