@callum, precisely my third option. Even if JS is disabled, users should be able to multiquote, and it is fairly simple, add &quoteid=<postid1>|<postid2> to the url and it should do fine

I don't think that it is worth the time it will take to develop.

hmm, in that case, the normal quote button should do the job, just that a new sprite would be needed in place of the existing quote button to make it something like "quoted".
Quoting in quick reply will require fetching the bbcode, again possible by adjusting the quickedit's bbcode fetch method.

Yeah. That sounds good. I also think that no JS, no quick reply.

I'm more into this:

+1

I have really wanted a feature like this for a long time now as I regularly quote multiple posts in a single post. I had actually made an RFC about this myself a while ago :>

Man... Why ppl don't warn others about this and the discussions just get abandoned?
Can't we just merge all the info we have into this thread or somethin'?
I already closed the thread I started.

Is this ready for some non-working experience tests?
If it is, I can make one to show how the system could look like in a couple hours.
For now, I'd like to pickup the ideas and try 'em to check what's best.
