is it possible phpbb has a security problem?!!!

If phpBB has a security problem, why didn't that hacker hack phpbb.com then? Startrekguide was using several MODs and I think some of them outdated. That might be the reason why startrekguide was hacked, but since we don't know any details we should probably wait until we know more.

If you research it a bit you'll find that it was a server exploit hack and nothing to do with phpBB. You should ask your pirating-toting friends about it

DavidIQ is indeed correct. The hacker did not gain access through the phpBB forum on StarTrekGuide or even StarTrekGuide itself.
