Attachments Storage enhancement

I am not sure that the attachments management http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=33288 implemented in 3.1(Ascraeus) would include selective storage path mention at the last reply.

Why you don't integrate this mod (subfolders attachments)?

I think it's very important. In my case I have more then 6000 attachments, so I need to put them in subfolders, because FTP software only suports 2000 files per folder.
I use this mod (only the subfolder option) and when I put an attachment in a topic it goes to the specific folder Year_Month, and the folders are created automatic.

So I have to suggest once more here.
The importance of sorting attachments into different directories (as date or type) is obvious for huge number of attachments.

Well, but for upper than web root could be cause a security issue, but it could be resolved thought introducing FTP uploader...
