I noticed there's a feature freeze for 3.1 so I'll post a new feature idea here.
I did try searching the forum, but couldn't find this feature, forgive me if it's been suggested already. That being said, here's my idea:
I think it would be simpler for Moderators if you were to include any of the Mod tools that the Moderators have access to in the reply/edit screen. It would be a fairly easy feature to add (I would assume), and would help streamline a Moderators job. For example, I believe at the time being you're only allowed to lock the topic from the reply/edit screen, and change the topic status from the New Topic screen, I would suggest allowing access to the MCP in the reply screen (while somehow preserving the post being written) to allow Mods to be able to Merge, Split, (most importantly to me) Move, etc.
Granted, maybe this is a style thing, but I've only ever been a Moderator on the Conundrum style, so I wouldn't know any others.
