Do not post bug reports, feature or support requests! No really... Do not post bug reports, feature or support requests! Doing so will make Bertie a very sad bear indeed. :(

How do you ask for support

Postby machine99 » Thu Oct 01, 2009 11:04 am

Hi, all the rules say don't ask for support on this forum, but the support forum has been locked since February. Am I just missing something here? If not, I will go ahead and hope not to make Bertie too sad with this problem. I just updated an unmodified 3.03 forum by deleting all, then uploading 3.05, then copying config back in and running database_update.php (as the instructions say, the autoupdate option has always confused me in the past, so I choose the 'simpler' way) but get the following message: "Please read: INSTALL.html before attempting to update". What to do? Thanks for any response.

Any support is obtained on the phpBB.com support forums, area51 is for testing and development purposes. :)
