Where to get RSS feeds?

I need to find rss feeds for a phpbb mod that will post them into the forum. I have the mod already but I dont know anything about rss feeds.

Is it just a web address? When I find the i copy it as a book mark but I don't if thats it.

I just thought it would end in .rss or something.
