Can Admin's post?

I just set up a forum and I'm trying to create a new post logged in as the Administrator. I see no "New Topic" button. Do I have to create a separate user for posting?

have you set the permissions for the forum correctly.

Or are using a different language pack?
If yes than move the files in your e.g/style/prosilver/imagesets/en to /style/prosilver/imagesets/en_us etc.

Thanks, I didn't realize the default permission were so restrictive.
