Custom field inquiry

Postby DaHiA » Sat Feb 07, 2009 7:25 pm

Shortly after upgrading to the lastest phpBB, i found out that some custom fields have disappeared from the registration form
After investigating the issue, i found out that only custom fields with
Display profile field:
The profile field will be shown in all locations allowed within the load settings. Setting this to “no” will hide the field from topic pages, profiles and the memberlist.
marked "YES" is showing up at the registration form but others dont show even though are marked to show on registration
I'm confused. Kindly advise

if no, i wonder from where should i start investigating the issue especially that all ACP settings are in proper format

Kindly advise.

The "Display profile field" setting has nothing to do with registration. It is the other settings on that same config page that affect registration.

What style are you using?

From what version did you upgrade? These settings have changed recently, from being a set of radio buttons to being a set of checkmarks. Are you sure you executed the upgrade correctly? Changed the files and ran the database upgrade script?

I did not ask if you are running the latest version, I asked speficically if you
- updated the files
- ran the database upgrade script.
;)

Sorry to push this point, but the latter is especially important, because I believe the way these settings are stored have changed along with the way they are configured. If you are using new files, with the old way of storing the setting, I can imagine things run afoul.
