help with adding advertising mod

Hi, I am fairly new to this. SO please be kind to me

I need to upload the advertising mod to phpbb 3. But I cannot find any instructions on how to do it. Helllpppppp Thanks in advance.

Do you have upload access to the server the board is on?

I have full access as I am setting it up for a friend.

Then you need to open the installation file in your browser and it will give you instructions on how to install the MOD.
There are a couple of easy edits to a couple of files and then some uploads.

I am assuming that the the mod goes into - forum/adm/mods

Not necessarily.
The MOD instructions will tell you what files to edit and how.
There are also a few files to upload to various places. All the files in the mods root folder.

Well, I though I had sorted it bit no ads are bing displayed. The only thing I can think of is that i hav not understood this bit proeprrly:

Copy: root/*.*
To: *.*

Where/what is *.*

I am just being abit dense me thinks It has been a long few days sorting out my friends site.

It means the files within root folder to your forums main folder.
which mod are u using if Advertisement Management than u have to enable it from the ACP.

Thanks for the info. But still not getting any joy. Here is what I have done:

Uploaded Ad Management 1.0.8 folder to public_html/forum/ad management
used domainname.co.uk/forum/ad management/install.xml
Modified the pages as requested:
forum/includes/functions.php
forum/styles/prosilver/template/overall_footer.html
forum/styles/prosilver/template/overall_header.html
forum/styles/prosilver/template/viewtopic_body.html

Uploaded above files to appropriate folders.
moved the contents of root folder to public_html/forum/
created a banner folder for the images in public_html
added an advert in the ACP checked the Ad Enabled

Made sure the code is correct for the ad to be listed and image found

Still no joy.
