Designing prosilver. Changing colours.css but not working?

Post by gorepitdotnet »

Last thread now, I promise!

I have been trying to edit the colours for the prosilver theme. Im not sure why it isn't working, but I have edited the themes/colours.css and its not showing up. I have refreshed my page etc... but its still showing the default colours. How do I change this?

After editing a CSS file you have to refresh your Theme on the Styles/Themes page and then F5 your webbrowser

Thanks, it still just seems exactly the same as before though. Do I have to edit anything else except the colours.css sheet? Thats all I have changed so far, and the colours are much different - dark.

That depends on what you are trying to change. Some of the colors are background images.

Im trying to change everything lol. I want the prosilver theme as blacks and greys. The colours I have changed to are #cc000 for headings #ffffff for text and #000000 for the backgrounds but nothing has changed. Not even the text area boxes.

What steps are you taking to edit the colours.css file? What editor are you using?

I was editing it using the cPanel file manager. I just found out that it would be reallllly hard to created a dark theme to how I want it so I have just given up on the idea. Oh well, back to subsilver2 I guess.

What I really want to do now for the subsilver2 theme is to resize it to the same width as http://www.zombieforum.net and have that rectangluar curved border around the whole content. Im not sure how to do that though. Does anyone know?

there are plenty of black prosilver based styles out there:

etc.
